Hidden Gem Alert: Irish Repertory Theatre’s revival of the classic musical On A Clear Day You Can See Forever is a true delight! The show is often viewed as one of the quirkiest of the Golden Age musicals and Irish Rep’s adapted version embraces that quirkiness…in a really awesome way!

On A Clear Day You Can See Forever was co-written by Alan Jay Lerner, who co-wrote My Fair Lady…so, musically, you’ve got a similar style. The quirkiness comes in the subject matter: It’s about a woman who is reincarnated and has ESP that absolutely enchants her psychiatrist.

Our heroine is played by Broadway A-lister Melissa Errico, who has one of those legendary voices that you just have to hear to believe. The best part about this Irish Rep production? The theater is so intimate that the actors aren’t mic’d…which means the sound of their voices is so pure. Experiencing Melissa’s voice going straight from her mouth into your ears is very special, and very lovely.

Don’t miss this very cool revival of On A Clear Day You Can See Forever!

Extended through September 6.
