Playwright Larissa FastHorse has written a hilarious new play about some teachers who are trying to put up a woke Thanksgiving play at their school in a process that goes…terribly wrong. The Thanksgiving Play is a brave new comedy that, first and foremost, will add minutes to your life by allowing you to release and laugh (out loud!) for 90 minutes with a bunch of strangers.

Director Moritz von Stuelpnagel directs comedies with ease - Present Laughter on Broadway with Kevin Kline last year and Hand To God just to name two. The Thanksgiving Play flies by, but you’ll still be laughing on the subway ride home thanks to his energetic and relentless direction.

The four actors are all superb, but a special shoutout to YesBroadway Podcast co-host Margo Seibert, who plays the ditzy actress from LA that the teachers hire to bring a certain perspective to the process who ends up being the wisest of them all.

Yes, yes, and more yes to Larissa FastHorse’s LOL-worthy The Thanksgiving Play.

Runs through December 2.
