AYUUUUUGAH! RED ALERT! ALL SYSTEMS GO!
Be More Chill is FINALLY getting the Off-Broadway production it so very much deserves. Jennifer Ashley Tepper (Feinstein’s/54 Below Creative and Programming Director) is one of the producers who is bringing you Joe Iconis and Joe Tracz’s superb musical this summer and please know this: it will be the hottest theater ticket in NYC.
What is Be More Chill, you ask? We made this video about a year ago explaining what the show is and how the online fandom was reaching peak freakout. Little did we all know that it has multiplied exponentially since this. It’s gonna be HUGE. The video is also a good chance to hear some of the music from the show.
Most of the cast and creative team from the original 2015 production at New Jersey’s Two River Theater is coming to NYC with the show with one major exception: Dear Evan Hansen’s Will Roland will be playing the lead role of Jeremy. Original Jeremy Will Connelly was terrific, but if we have to lose him at least it’s to the insanely talented Will Roland (he was in 2017 YesBroadway 40 Under 40)!
Rest assured that George Salazar is coming with the production in the role of Michael, which means even more people will get to see him perform the extraordinarily good showtune “Michael In The Bathroom” live. We’ll also get Stephanie Hsu back from SpongeBob SquarePants in the role of Christine, which she originated. We’ll be losing Paul Whitty to Broadway’s Gettin’ The Band Back Together, but that’s okay: Joe Iconis chosen family member Jason SweetTooth Williams will be playing Jeremy’s pants-challenged dad instead.

DO NOT SLEEP on tickets to Be More Chill. If you do, you’ll be sorry this summer when it’s all the rage and sold out with standby lines on 42nd Street all the way to the Hudson River.
The production will run July 26th through September 23 at the Pershing Square Signature Center on 42nd Street and 10th Avenue.
